In our March “Steal of the Month” column, Irish actress Saoirse Ronan recalls her first experience on the red carpet, where, not only was the then thirteen-year-old one of the youngest actors ever to be nominated for an Oscar—for Joe Wright’s moving 2007 drama Atonement—but she was also making her debut in heels. “It takes three hours to walk it, so by the end my feet were killing me!” (She wore Alberta Ferretti sandals.) Ronan, now eighteen, has a more down-to-earth personal style. “I like wearing long, floaty dresses with brogues,” she says. “It takes a look that would otherwise be very girlie and throws the balance off a bit.” Inspired by the wiser-than-her-years actress

lol. I don't know, Saoirse. You were sporting the brogues at this years IFTAs and at the Breaking Dawn premiere and it didn't look too "balanced." Long dresses with the right heels can look fantastic - it's not about "balance." Just because you can't pull it off doesn't make it "too girly." Tsk tsk. I hope you take a lesson by this Vogue shoot and add those types of shoes (the non-huge sole clunkers) to your wardrobe.
